Waterfront Residence

The owners wished to incorporate the style, materials and scale of a 2,200 sq ft guest house which we had previously designed for them on the same site into a 12,000 sq ft primary residence. The design breaks the house down into 3 two story wings recalling the design and scale of the guest house. These wings in turn enclose two low roofed pavilions. The exterior finishes of the wings continue thru the interior of the pavilions, enhancing the sense of separate structures, and blurring the distinction between interior and exterior.
